Clinique Superdefense Daily Defense Moisturiser

In need of a new day time moisturiser, this Clinique Superdefense Daily Defense Moisturiser* really couldn't have joined my skincare collection at a better time.

Infused with antioxidents, not only does this lightweight silky moisturiser leave my skin feeling incredibly soft and hydrated, it homes ingredients that work to protect your skin throughout the whole day with the added bonus of an SPF20 and so makes the perfect morning time moisturiser.

It's a really nice consistency and although it's targeted to very dry to dry combination skin, I personally find it works really nicely on my current normal to combination skin. The formula is light and silky enough to sit underneath my make up comfortably without causing any products to slip and I love that it adds a really nice amount of hydration to my skin, which is perfect for this time of year and in turn makes my skin look a lot healthier on make up free days which I've been having a lot of recently.

Having reached for this moisturiser on most mornings over the past couple of months, I would definitely class it as a current favourite of mine and I'm really impressed.

Available on Cliniques online store as well as at counters in Selfridges, Boots and John Lewis, a 50ml tub of Daily Defense is available for £39 although there is also a 30ml limited edition tub floating around for £20.

Does Clinique make up any of your skin care regime? Does this Superdefense Daily Defense Moisturiser appeal to your skin?

  2. I just bought the Clinique Take the Day off Cleansing balm and I absolutely love it! This actually sounds perfect for me (with the higher SPF for daytime) since I live in South Florida and want to protect my skin from the sun. Thanks for sharing this product!

  3. I love Clinique and have used their Moisture Surge Intense and now I'm using their Moisturzing Gel..I like both of them but the Surge Intense left a super hydrating but oily look, even in the am after using it before bed, and the gel is a little too light. This seems like it might be more in the middle? Does it leave that "film" like your face looks oily for a while after using it? Haha not sure if that makes sense, but hopefully you know what I mean!

  9. I do love the sound of this, but I have to be so careful with creams that contain an SPF as they break me out in a really bad rash. Maybe my local counter will have a sample I can take away as I do like Clinique.

  10. I actually don't have any clinique in my skin care routine which is quite shocking! I've finally started to branch out into high end skincare though - watch this space.

  12. Hello, I'm from Oqibo Professional Skincare. Hope you don't mind me commenting.
As a professional skin care company we talk to lots of people every day who get in touch because they need that little bit of extra advice or support, we are great advocates of skin health, whether achieved through Oqibo or by another fabulous brand!

Clinique enjoys a loyal following because of their dedication to great products, ingredients and efficacy. Other brands such Dermalogica, Decleor, Guinot and Clarins follow similar suit. Customer education and support has been essential for these brands in supporting choice; getting the right products for you skin is half the battle.

Our advice is often to talk to your brand therapists, choose in-salon or in-store skin assessments and request samples before committing your skin to a years worth of possible incompatibility. Ask questions about ingredients, probe the science and find out what your skin really needs for your current life age and stage. Reassess if things are not working and look to take a whole person approach, your skin often reflects what's going on in and around you.

Our range contains two moisturisers, links below if you would like to read the in's and out's but if we can offer any skin health advice generally, we'd love to get involved int he conversation!

Thanks for a great post, lovely comments and for having us here too!
