Okay, maybe not Botox. I considered baby botox and everyones reactions was "don't be stupid". I'm 22. I do not need Botox, but I do need a cream or some kind of magic.
My frown/shocked face/"omg" lines on my forehead are becoming a joke and I'm getting really paranoid about them. I can count about 6 of them.
You can't really see them in these photos because the images are small- if you enlarge them you will.
They are really deep set now and are depressing me. They show when I am wearing make up and when I'm not. I'm Laura. I'm 22 and I need a frown fix. Help!
Recommendations please.

I know you're only 22, but have you tried anti ageing creams? Some of them are specifically targeted at reducing set in lines x
ReplyDeleteif they are depressing you then you should do what will make you happy not everyone else
ReplyDeleteI've got bad frown lines and I'm 16! I have very strong facial expressions, so end up with lots of tiny wrinkles and deep set ones. I find when I'm out in the sun I squint/ frown a lot too. x
ReplyDeleteTry a derma filler hun. Avon do a good one. Or you could try anti ageing creams, ones with collagen in, they help plump out your skin :-) xx
ReplyDeleteI have this same problem because i frown when I apply mascara! I want botox and i dont care how young i am, if i could afford it i would! :(
ReplyDeletePaige- Your right, I'm just not sure I can afford to start Botox now.
ReplyDeleteLauren & Nicola- I'm trying to find the right one.. I've used Olay & Loreal ones, they don't seem to work or I'm just impatient. I'm going to try and get my hands on something like Nib Fab.
Jessica- I probably would Botox if I could afford it, it seems alot for every 6 months or so..
Try night serums - anti ageing - they will be more concentrated and they will work a bit better than the day ones as it will work with your skin when it repairs itself at night :-) I hope that made some sort of sense! xx
ReplyDeleteYou should do whatever makes you happy but maybe try alternatives such as anti-ageing creams first! I use the Clarins Multi-Active Day moisturiser and night cream which are anti-ageing products suitable for girls in their 20s.
ReplyDeleteYou can always grab some samples from a Clarins counter to try them out...hope that helps!
xx
in the same boat as you
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful, so I think botox is not for you yet. I did my first botox Toronto after I gave birth to my second child(46 years old)....so you got plenty of time to do this, don't start now, you are still young.
ReplyDeleteThey're not that noticeable to everyone else, but once you focus on them you get a bit of a complex and it feels like it's all you can see in the mirror. I have them just the same and have had since I was 19. They're a lot more to do with how your face is and how you frown than aging - I clearly frown a lot! I have tried lots of different anti-ageing creams and in my opinion, none of them will give you the fix you're after. The filler creams that you apply under make-up can give a little temporary improvement - soap and glory sell one.
ReplyDeleteThere's also a product calls Frownies which you might want to try. I think it's really gimmicky but allegedly it's been the Hollywood secret for years! They're like a big plaster you stick on your head at night to train your forehead to flatten back out. I bought them years ago but never really used them as I felt like an idiot!
I've looked into baby botox quite seriously, you can get it for about £90 so it's a lot less than normal botox and it's supposed to be a much more subtle effect that still gives movement. If I do it, I'll do a post on it and let you know!
Fellow frownie, Gem xx
Why not try an alternative, like eating foods that are good for your skin? Keeping your beautiful skin young is certainly a challenge. Being paranoid with your skin doesn't help too, because having a clear head helps to find a good solution. It's better to think positive in times like these.
ReplyDeleteYou don’t need to get Botox at your age. Anti aging creams and moisturizers could be one of your great solutions. Aside from that, there are many natural alternatives for you to keep your youthful glowing skin. Drinking plenty of water, exercise, and eating healthy food help nourish your skin. This will help you to look more fresh and younger.

ReplyDeleteYou don’t need to be conscious about your looks, Laura! As I look at your pictures and videos, I can see that you have very beautiful skin. I’m sure your family and friends will agree with me on that! ;) You don’t need to worry about it! Maybe it’s okay for you to think about getting Botox ten to fifteen years from now.

You already look so refreshed, young and beautiful. Though the forehead lines does not show up in picture you look perfectly fine but if you still wanted to go for botox injections then go for baby botox and visit http://www.cosmedocs.com/treatments/botox-treatment.php for the botox treatment.
